Matching a 3 ton Lennox coil

Coil families at this size include the C35, CHX35, CK40CT, CK40DT, CK40HT, CK40UT, and CX35, plus the CH23. Start with your furnace width. The letter after the size in the coil model number tells you the cabinet it fits: A for 14.5 inch, B for 17.5 inch, and C for 21 inch. Most coils here are cased, so they come in their own cabinet. CK40UT models are uncased and fit inside an existing cabinet or plenum. The CH23 has no cabinet letter, so check its product page for dimensions.

Then match the refrigerant to your outdoor unit. R-454B: CK40CT, CK40DT, CK40HT, and CK40UT coils ending in -71. R-410A: the C35, CHX35, and CX35, plus CK40CT and CK40DT coils ending in -01.
