Merit series includes the single-stage ML180, ML193, and ML196, plus the two-stage ML296 with a variable-speed blower. These are the value options across common capacities.

Elite series covers the single-stage EL180, EL195, and EL196 and the two-stage EL280 and EL297. Step up here when you want finer staging and higher efficiency.

Signature collection includes the SL280 and SL297. The variable-capacity SLP99 is modulating, with listed ratings from 97.5% to 99% AFUE.

How to compare models

Filter by BTU, efficiency, model family, and width first. Open the product page for the published specs and full model name. If two models look identical on paper, we confirm matchups with you before you buy.

Rated comfort and efficiency are system numbers. Pair the gas furnace with a matched evaporator coil and outdoor air conditioner when cooling is in scope. Some jobs use a heat pump or air handler instead.

These are natural gas furnaces. AFUE here runs from 80% to 99%. High-efficiency furnaces (90% AFUE and up) usually need condensing venting and a condensate drain, so confirm that scope for your exact model before you order. Capacity runs from 30,000 to 132,000 BTU input. The size code in your current furnace's model number is a good starting point. Text it to us and we will help you confirm the size.
