Choosing an 80,000 BTU Lennox furnace
The EL180 and SL280 are 80% AFUE and typically vent through a metal flue, which often makes for a simpler swap when you're replacing another 80% furnace. The EL195 and SL297 are condensing furnaces, so plan for PVC venting and a condensate drain. The EL180 and EL195 are single-stage. The SL280 and SL297 are two-stage, with a low stage for milder days. Size the furnace from a load calculation, then match the cabinet width to your space and your evaporator coil.
