Choosing a 17 SEER2 Lennox air conditioner
Merit models (ML13KC1, ML14KC1, and ML17KC2) are Lennox's entry line, and Elite models (EL15KC1 and EL16KC1) sit a step above. The EL15KC1, EL16KC1, ML13KC1, and ML14KC1 are single-stage and run at full output; the ML17KC2 is two-stage, with a low stage for milder days. SEER2 is a system rating, so the indoor coil or air handler you pair affects it.
