Every unit uses R-454B refrigerant. The Merit ML14KP1 is from Lennox's entry line, and the Elite EL16KP1 sits a step above. Every unit here is single-stage, so it runs at full output whenever it's on. SEER2 is a system rating, so the indoor coil or air handler you pair affects it.
