This Lennox 3 ton dual fuel heat pump and gas furnace system includes the ML14KP1-036-230 heat pump, the CK40HT-42C-71 cased coil and the EL280UH110E48CK gas furnace. It is an AHRI certified match, reference 215735718, rated 16 SEER2 and 7.8 HSPF2.
What's Included
- ML14KP1-036-230: the outdoor heat pump. It cools in summer and heats in milder weather.
- CK40HT-42C-71: the indoor evaporator coil (cased coil, 21 inches wide). It connects to the furnace and works with the outdoor unit to move heat.
- EL280UH110E48CK: the gas furnace, 80% AFUE, 110,000 BTU input, 21 inches wide. It provides heat when it is too cold for the heat pump to run efficiently and moves air through the coil.
AHRI Certified Rating
AHRI, the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute, runs an independent program that certifies how specific outdoor and indoor equipment performs as a matched system. This combination is listed in the AHRI Directory under certificate number 215735718. As a certified match, it is rated 16 SEER2 and 13.2 EER2, with 7.8 HSPF2 for heating. SEER2 measures cooling efficiency over a typical season, and EER2 measures cooling efficiency on a hot day. HSPF2 measures heating efficiency over a typical season. Furnace Efficiency and Orientation
The EL280UH110E48CK is rated 80% AFUE, so about 80 percent of the fuel it burns becomes heat for your home. This system is set up for a horizontal installation, with the furnace on its side and air moving through a horizontal coil, a common layout in attics and crawl spaces. Pick the orientation that matches your existing ductwork.
Refrigerant
The outdoor unit and indoor coil use R-454B refrigerant, and the system includes refrigerant leak detection. R-454B equipment should not be mixed with R-410A components.
Warranty
HVAC USA is an authorized Lennox reseller, and this is new factory equipment. It carries the full Lennox warranty when a licensed, manufacturer-certified contractor installs it and registers it within 60 days.
