This Lennox 5 ton dual fuel heat pump and gas furnace system includes the EL16KP1-060-230 heat pump, the CK40DT-60D-71 cased coil and the SL280DF110V60C gas furnace. It is an AHRI certified match, reference 215747888, rated 14.7 SEER2 and 7.5 HSPF2.
What's Included
- EL16KP1-060-230: the outdoor heat pump. It cools in summer and heats in milder weather.
- CK40DT-60D-71: the indoor evaporator coil (cased coil, 24.5 inches wide). It connects to the furnace and works with the outdoor unit to move heat.
- SL280DF110V60C: the variable speed gas furnace, 80% AFUE, 110,000 BTU input, 21 inches wide. It provides heat when it is too cold for the heat pump to run efficiently and moves air through the coil.
AHRI Certified Rating
AHRI, the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute, runs an independent program that certifies how specific outdoor and indoor equipment performs as a matched system. This combination is listed in the AHRI Directory under certificate number 215747888. As a certified match, it is rated 14.7 SEER2 and 12.4 EER2, with 7.5 HSPF2 for heating. SEER2 measures cooling efficiency over a typical season, and EER2 measures cooling efficiency on a hot day. HSPF2 measures heating efficiency over a typical season. Furnace Efficiency and Orientation
The SL280DF110V60C is rated 80% AFUE, so about 80 percent of the fuel it burns becomes heat for your home. This system is set up for a downflow installation, with the furnace blowing air down through the coil below it, a common layout when ducts run under the floor. The 24.5 inch coil is wider than the 21 inch furnace, so a transition is needed at install. Pick the orientation that matches your existing ductwork.
Refrigerant
The outdoor unit and indoor coil use R-454B refrigerant, and the system includes refrigerant leak detection. R-454B equipment should not be mixed with R-410A components.
Warranty
HVAC USA is an authorized Lennox reseller, and this is new factory equipment. It carries the full Lennox warranty when a licensed, manufacturer-certified contractor installs it and registers it within 60 days.
