Choosing a 66,000 BTU Lennox furnace
The ML180, EL280, and SL280 are 80% AFUE and typically vent through a metal flue, which often makes for a simpler swap when you're replacing another 80% furnace. The ML193, ML196, ML296, EL196, and EL297 are condensing furnaces, so plan for PVC venting and a condensate drain. The ML180, ML193, ML196, and EL196 are single-stage. The ML296, EL280, EL297, and SL280 are two-stage, with a low stage for milder days. Size the furnace from a load calculation, then match the cabinet width to your space and your evaporator coil.
To compare by efficiency, see Lennox 80%, 93%, 96%, and 97% AFUE furnaces. Need a different size? See Lennox 60,000 BTU furnaces and Lennox 80,000 BTU furnaces.
